Dear fellow harbour friends,

My name is Sasja Hagens

I am honored to be asked for the second time  to deliver the artworks for the ESPO AWARDS 2023

‘The Colours of ESPO’ .

The harbour is where my heart is. I have been painting the Harbours for over 25 years

The harbour is so much more than business, moving commodities and increasing profits.

Harbours are far more than that.

Harbour is about  life

Ships are vessels for our desire

And we desire adventure.

And as we’re sailing away, looking for opportunities,

We might suffer loss ,

We might experience joy.

We learn.

A ship as a metaphor for vigour, desire and life.
